Top 3 Extreme Activities We’ve Normalized In Society

We see extreme activities being performed all the time, either on tv, online, or even first-hand actually performing these said activities! One thing is for sure, though, is that we’ve somehow normalized some of them. This is due to the fact that they’re done so often that there are so many trained professionals out there to guide us through it, and we feel a bit safer about it in some way. Here are the top 3 extreme activities:

1. Skydiving

For an adrenaline rush unlike any other, skydiving is probably the most popular extreme activity to get your heart racing and your blood pumping. Jumping out of a plane from thousands of feet in the air doesn’t sound like many people’s cup of tea, but for others, it’s a must-do! As a beginner, being strapped to an experienced skydiver is a must, and is very comforting seeing as they’ll be doing all the hard work. People have described their experiences skydiving as a feeling of freedom and accomplishment since a lot of them conquer their fears at the same time. It’s no wonder it’s one of the favorites!

2. Bungee Jumping

Much like skydiving, you’re facing your fears of extreme heights, but this time you’re jumping from a platform with a bungee cord. Unlike skydiving, you’re on your own with bungee jumping. You take the leap of faith by yourself, with no one there to comfort you. However, the adrenaline rush is the same. The thrill comes from jumping from a structure hundreds of feet tall, and the feeling of the rebound from the bungee cord stopping you from hitting the ground, leaving you bouncing in the air with an exhilarating feeling!

3. Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is in a league of its own, combining the thrill of climbing up and down large nature rocks formations while working major muscles in your body at the same time. Reaching the summit is the reward, and is described as the most beautiful feeling of accomplishment. Although it’s physically and mentally challenging, rock climbing is a popular extreme sport. It’s so popular that smaller indoor versions have been created for people to practice for the real thing, or enjoy the physical aspect of it without the potential dangers of climbing actual mountains.

There you have it - the top three extreme activities that are quite popular in our society. Some people say everybody should try them all at least once in their lives, as they will give you feelings of freedom, accomplishment, and beauty. Of course, there are plenty of other extreme activities out there to do at your own risk.
