Best Adventure Books Inspired by Women

With Mother’s Day being celebrated in many countries in May, what better way to celebrate than acknowledge the inspirational women out there that have had a personal as well as spiritual journey in their lives. Many of these books can be found on Lenosity, but here are a few of the best adventure books that have been inspired by women.

Mind of a Survivor: What the wild has taught me about survival and success by Megan Hine

Megan Hine is a true adventurer, having been out in the wild having to survive. This book talks about her journey and gives some good advice on how to become a survivor yourself. You don’t have to go into the wilderness, just take on board her techniques about a positive mind.

Taking on the World : A Sailor's Extraordinary Solo Race Around the Globe by Ellen MacArthur

Sailing solo around the world would leave most people in fear, but Ellen MacArthur managed to do just that. MacArthur took part in the Vendee Globe in 2001, and this book logs her journey and the experiences she endured along the way. A truly inspiring book for anyone looking to take on such adventures. This book can be found on sites like Lenosity.

Becoming Odyssa: Adventures on the Appalachian Trail by Jennifer Pharr Davis

Another amazing journey, this time on the Appalachian trail which winds its way from Georgia to Maine. Jennifer wanted time to think about what she wanted to do next, so she took on the 2175-mile thru-hike and found herself as well as what she wanted to do.
